About this Artwork
N°02 from the project “L’Affiche Brutaliste”
This artwork presents a fragmented and deconstructed reinterpretation of the Stoclet Palace in Brussels, a masterpiece of Art Deco architecture. Blending photography and painting, the image adopts a glitch-like aesthetic, where architectural forms seem to dissolve and reassemble through a complex interplay of lines, textures, and contrasts. The original structure is altered, almost unrecognizable, evoking a distorted interpretation of the building. The black-and-white graphic approach enhances this sense of abstraction, giving the composition a distinctly architectural and experimental atmosphere.

About
Behind the Artworks
Vanhuffel Atelier was founded by Pierre Vanhuffel, a Belgian graphic designer and visual artist. His work is inspired by brutalist architecture, modernist movements such as the Bauhaus, as well as geometric abstraction and street art.
After training in graphic design and several years of visual experimentation, Pierre developed an expressive aesthetic at the crossroads of graphic design and the visual arts. His works, highly structured yet always open to chance, explore the relationship betweenform, contrast, material, and space.
